Boy's Swimming Trophies
Girl's Swimming Trophies
Club Person of the Year Shield
This new trophy is held for one year for services to the Club. Account will
be made of the contribution made to the club. The winner will not necessarily be
a swimmer. Selection will be made annually by Club Coaches and Committee
Members.
For 2009 the trophy has been awarded to:
Kevin Thompson
The Friendship Trophy – awarded by Tamara Darruspe
Tamara has visited the Club twice during the past few years from Argentina
–staying for approximately 3 months and training with the Club at every
opportunity. A very friendly girl, well liked by other Club members, Tamara
settled in really well and participated in all events she was able to – even
competing in the County Age Groups at Barrow (1.3.03) on the day prior to flying
back to Argentina.
This Trophy will be awarded to the swimmer who the coaches believe has shown
the greatest improvement and commitment. This will not necessarily mean
the fastest or best swimmer.
